It is time for fresh greens and strawberries grown locally. It is easy to do  and you can top it with a simple poppy seed dressing you have made yourself.

 
Greens and Strawberries Salad
1 cup per person of spinach or your favorite mix of greens
2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup sliced fresh strawberries per person
1 tablespoon toasted almond slices or pecans per person
 
Mix greens. Top with strawberries and nuts. Drizzle with Poppy Seed Dressing.
 
Honey Poppy Seed Dressing
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 teaspoons poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
 
Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid; cover and shake well. Store in the refrigerator until serving. Makes 3/4 cup.
